MED - Medifast sues to shut up critics
These types of companies rarely last long. If you're not Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers, sorry, your brand's probably not strong enough to be much more than a fad. Add a MLM pyramid scheme to the mix, and you're begging for a flameout.
Medifast is suing The Fraud Discovery Institute, founded by convicts of the Crazy Eddie scandal, and others (including an anonymous message board poster) for defamation: http://seekingalpha.co...
Medifast seems desperate to shut up critics, and insiders have been dumping shares. It's probably worth a good look as a short on any bounce.
I'm liking Sam Antar the more I read his articles. More convicted Wall Street ex-cons should work to clean up the system they took advantage of. Unfortunately, it's all too easy to sue these days.

I know you've mentioned that institute before. I've got to start looking at them.
