F - Chanos on why he's bearish on Ford
In this recent Bloomberg interview ( http://www.youtube.com... ), Chanos gives a couple of good reasons why he's bearish on F. The first is its highly-leveraged balance sheet (which is reflected in its Z-score). The second is one that other commenters have noted before: Ford's union, the UAW, ended up being one of the largest owners of its competitor GM as a result of the bankruptcy deal. Essentially, Ford risks being penalized for not going bankrupt.
